Ack! My achy back and sleep issues!



Does anyone have suggestions for good body pillows or other remedies? I've been having such a hard time sleeping (waking up 4-5 times a night) and hubby so kindly suggested that since I've gained weight with the pregnancy (I just hit 32 weeks or the official 8 month mark this week) I should think about getting a body pillow. This one from Target has decent reviews, but I just wondered if any of you all had some recommendations! I've just been using regular pillows, but maybe it's time for a seriously pimped out pillow! :-)

  1. I'm so sorry that you're in pain! Having never gotten to that point in a pregnancy ("yet", I hope), I don't know what to tell you. But hang in there!

  2. I'm having that same exact same problem and I'm only 15 weeks!!! I think it was because I had back issues about 4 years ago and had to go to therepy!! I was just looking at pillows...if someone tells you of a great one would you let me know?? Thanks;) Hope the sleeping gets better!!

  3. I've got the body pillow and nothing seemed to help. No exaggeration, I am up literally every hour which comes out to 8 or 9 times a night for either being uncomfortable or having to use the restroom. Mostly because I have to pee so many times. I have found nothing that works for the discomfort while sleeping unfortunately. Maybe you will have better luck. One thing I did find that helped was going to the chiropractor but my belly's too large to lay on the table anymore.

  4. so...i've been trying to decide the same thing: keep using my 3-5 pillows, or invest in a body pillow. people swear by the snuggle or snoogie or whatever it is, but i can't see spending the money for two months. i dont know...maybe i'm just cheep? ;)

  5. Sorry no suggestions for a good body pillow, but did you ever try that rolled up towel trick I suggested waaay back? My husband swears by it. If you need it again email me and i will send you instructions....Hope you sleep better soon. xoxoxoxo

  6. My best friend let me use her c shaped body pillow, the thing is a life saver. I use that and A straight body pillow on the other side of me. It sort of wedges me on my side and every so often I have to unhook my leg from the c and flip over to my other side because my ribs hurt but honestly it helps me to sleep and keeps me on my side. The huge down fall is that my poor hubby is squished and nearly falling off his side of the bed. Poor guy, he never complains though. So sweet!
